Soley Data Privacy Policy

Soley values your data privacy. Soley will never collect any data that is subject to your data analyses with our software – unless you ask us to do so.

This Data Privacy Policy (“Policy”) covers how Soley GmbH (“Soley“, “We” or “Us”) collects and/or processes potentially personal data (Sec. 3 para. 1 German Data Protection Act) related to your (past) use of Soley products and services. Please read this document carefully.

Scope of this Data Privacy Policy

This Policy applies only to potentially personal data collected by Soley through software installation or use of Soley websites where this Policy is posted. This Policy does not apply to any other information collected by Soley through other means. If you have other agreements with Us governing Soley products and services, then those agreements control with regard to the subject matter of those agreements.

The Data We Collect

When you register with Soley, we will ask you to input a limited amount of personal data (like your real name, industry, organization name, job role, and contact information, such as e-mail address, phone number).

On our website, you may sign up for marketing mails, like our newsletter. During the signup process you have given your consent that we use your email address to provide you with such marketing mails accordingly.

We may also collect your product registration information, product interest information, transaction information, or demographic information. For certain licensees, Soley may require additional information, such as student verification information for academic licenses. If required, we may collect payment information such as your credit card number and billing address if you purchase products and services from Us. We may also combine information you provide with data we collect automatically (as further described in the next paragraph).

For example, we collect your device’s operating system configuration, time stamped logs regarding your usage. How we use Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies,” text data that are saved on your computer and allow the analysis of the use of the website. The information obtained by cookies about your use are usually transferred by Google to the USA and saved there. In the case of activating IP anonymity on this website, your IP will be shortened by Google to inside of the member states of the European Union or in other treaty states of the European Economic Area.
